Shohreh Abedi

Experienced Technology Executive

Shohreh Abedi leverages extensive experience in technology development to drive growth at The Auto Club Group, where she is executive vice president and chief operations and technology officer. She is responsible for $1.2 billion in capital and operating expenses, 4,500 employees, and $1.5 billion in revenue targets.  

Having worked in a variety of fields, from healthcare to defense, Shohreh Abedi understands how technology can be used to improve the customer experience, increase operational efficiency, and effect significant growth in sales. At The Auto Group, she focuses on modernization and innovation within a number of departments, including emergency roadside services. Through technology transformation, Abedi has improved communication between call centers and the people working on the ground while also increasing self-service options to facilitate the easiest customer experience possible. She is also responsible for travel sales and service as well as membership sales and service.  

Her Story

Chair of the Midwest Auto Clubs Board

Actively involved with her professional community, Abedi has held leadership roles in both local and national organizations. Currently, she is chair of the Midwest Auto Clubs Board and director of the Traffic Safety Board of Trustees at the AAA Foundation. She formerly headed the Technology and Digital Strategy subcommittee of the AAA Federation.  

Abedi has also established herself as an industry leader through several publications on technology development and its role in corporate growth and strategy. Throughout her career, she has focused on creating technology platforms that align with corporate strategy and create new pathways for growth in the directions indicated by executive leadership. 

Previously, Shohreh Abedi was senior vice president and chief information officer at Farmers Insurance, where she helped build a new infrastructure for technology that allowed for an enterprise-wide digital strategy. She rolled out a new billing platform and created a new communications network for the company as well. Prior to joining Farmers, she was a vice president at the global management and technology consulting firm Capgemini. There, she led the western division focused on the financial services industry.
